Buñuelos (Sweet fried dough) | Ingredients: | |      | 3 tablespoons powder yeast |   | 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon | |      | 1 teaspoon aniseed |   | 3 eggs | |      | 3 tablespoons Pisco |   | 3 cups flour | |      | 1 cup water |   | 30 tablespoons sugar | |      | 1/2 cup lukewarm water |   | oil (amount necessary) | |      | honey or powdered sugar |   |

Preparation: |
1. Soak aniseed in one cup of water, and yeast in 1/2 cup of lukewarm water for 10 minutes. 2. Mix together: flour, cinnammon, eggs, Pisco, salt and sugar. Add aniseed and yeast, mixing well until reaching the consistency of a cake batter. 3. Place dough in a warm place and let raise until doubles its size. Moist your fingers with water (to prevent stickiness) and take small portions of dough and flatten it with fingers. Fry in plenty of hot oil. 4. Allow to cool and serve with honey or powdered sugar on top. |
