Angel Food Cake | Ingredients: | |      | 12 egg whites |   | 1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar | |      | 1/4 teaspoon salt |   | 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar | |      | 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour |   | 2 teaspoons vanilla extract | |      | 3/4 teaspoon almond extract |   | 3/4 teaspoon lemon juice |

Preparation: |
| Combine egg whites, cream of tartar and salt. Beat until you get very soft peaks. Reduce speed to low and gradually add sugar a tablespoon at a time. Then, add flour a tablespoon at a time (do not over beat). Fold in vanilla, almond extract and lemon juice. Place mixture into a nonstick angel food pan and bake at 175 degrees centigrades for 45 to 50 minutes or till done. Invert pan and cool on a wire rack. |
